In our range of barefoot shoes for kids, you'll find sneakers, rubber boots and sandals – all built on the same philosophy: maximum freedom for the foot.
Some children prefer soft shoes for everyday wear, while others need extra protection against weather and rough surfaces. Whatever the need, there’s a barefoot shoe that fits.
Our barefoot shoes come in a variety of colours and materials, designed for use at kindergarten, school and on outings – all year round.
Wearing barefoot shoes helps children develop strength, balance and body awareness. The sole is thin, flexible and flat, allowing the foot to move naturally and feel the ground beneath. This can contribute to better motor skills and healthier foot development over time.
Unlike traditional shoes, barefoot shoes provide more freedom and don't restrict the foot’s natural movement – a major advantage during growth phases.
What are barefoot shoes? In short: shoes that mimic the feeling of walking barefoot, while protecting against cold, moisture and sharp surfaces. They have a wide toe box, zero drop (completely flat sole), and are made from flexible, lightweight and breathable materials.
At Viking, we use carefully selected materials that combine flexibility and durability. Many models are also made from water-repellent or waterproof materials – ideal for Norwegian weather.
When you buy barefoot shoes from Viking Footwear, you shop with a brand that has long experience and a clear goal: to make shoes that support active children as they explore the world on their own two feet.
We offer fast delivery, easy returns, and products developed for Nordic conditions – with thousands of happy customers who’ve already found shoes their kids love.
