We asked our Viking colleagues for their favourite hikes. #letsexplore
One of my favorite areas is the mangfall mountains close to Munich.
A Fantastic place for nice hikes. I can really recommend the easy hike
to the peak Jägerkamp from the Spitzingssattel, or a very nice round hiking trip over Jägerkamp, Aiplspitz and Taubenstein.
Amazing view on:
Schliersee is a very nice lake with beautiful peaks
like Aiplspitz, Hochmiesing, Rotwand, Risserkogel and more
Those who like a challenge can take the round trip over the three
peaks, which includes a ridge walk.
Only recommended on dry days.
My favorite destination, and best trip, is ”Glassberget” in
It offers an airy and spectacular view of the capital, Oslo
This place offers easy access to children and adults.
You can make the trip any time
Glassberget is a great destination all year round.
How to get there:
Drive to the parking lot at Idammen (at the top of Årvollveien) at Årvoll, Oslo. From there it is approx. 1 km to walk.
If you take public transport, I recommend a bus to Stig stop.
From the stop, it is approx. 1 km to walk up along Årvollveien to Isdammen, then the last kilometre up to Glassberget.
My hiking tip is Kyststien from Stavern to Helgeroa.
What I like so much is that you walk very close to the water and that there are constant changes in the landscape.
You walk out from boulders, through forests and on beaches with pebbles and sand – with beautiful views
the whole way
It is a perfect trip all year round.
You can choose whether you want to go for a short or long trip:
For example, you can choose to just to visit Mølen
My favorite local outdoor destination is Marselisborg Skoven.
An Incredibly beautiful rolling forest, located close to Aarhus Bay, with lots of opportunities for walks.
My favorite place, overall, is Knäbäckshusen in Österlen, Sweden.
It is like being on a beautiful beach in Thailand but it is in Sweden!
