Always ready to play – with a smile in every step.

One of Viking’s most iconic designs is stepping back into the spotlight, bringing 1990s nostalgia, fun and plenty of personality to outdoor adventures. With its wide eyes, playful monster face and unmistakable character, Claw was never just another boot. Welcome back, Claw! This season, the much-loved family favourite returns, ready for a new generation of explorers.

New Claw Warm retains the unmistakable character of the original, now with updated materials and improved comfort. Made using 33% bio-based materials, the thermo boot features a warm lining that keeps little feet comfortable on cold days. The lightweight sole offers flexibility and durability, while its rugged pattern provides secure grip. Our favourite detail? The playful eyes, of course – the signature feature that gives Claw its unique personality.

Some childhood favourites simply stay with us. For many of today’s parents, this thermo boot brings back memories of their own outdoor adventures – and of pulling on a pair of boots with nothing less than a sculpted fantasy monster face. Not exactly a design you forget!
Originally created by Norwegian designer Sigrid Eckhoff in 1994, it quickly made its mark. A testament to timeless creativity and craftsmanship, the boot even earned its place in the Norwegian National Museum in Oslo and is now part of Norway’s design heritage.

One of the most exciting parts was diving into the archives and bringing this character back to life. We played with the eyes, teeth and dragon-like details, while exploring new colours and expressions.
We wanted to keep everything that made the original so recognisable, while giving it a playful new look for a new generation of kids.
