As springtime approaches, Sebastian also discusses his favorite outdoor activities to do with his kids and offers tips on refreshing their wardrobes for the new season.
Hi Sebastian! How are you? I&#8217;m good, thanks. Spring is finally here, and I&#8217;m ready to spend more time outside. I love this time of year.
What inspired you to become an influencer, and how and when did you get started in this field? I don&#8217;t know if my goal was to become an influencer, but I started by sharing moments from my daily life as a dad. And I did it without any filter. People often share stuff about being a mum or dad, but they tend to romanticize it. Being a parent is great, but sometimes it is hard work, tears, and meltdowns all around.

How do you come up with ideas for content? I actually don&#8217;t plan a lot. I do whatever comes to my mind or find inspiration in everyday situations that people can relate to. I think that&#8217;s the key to being a lifestyle influencer. Talk about regular stuff but be honest and don&#8217;t hide the real stuff. Talk about expectations you fail to live up to, talk about what makes you happy and what makes you sad. Talk about what you&#8217;re good at, but also admit that you don&#8217;t know everything. It&#8217;s about getting people to see themselves in you. If everything you post is a picture-perfect life, no one will recognize themselves.
How do you engage with your audience? I&#8217;m just trying to be as real as possible.
Can you describe a typical morning at your home? Our fourth child is around a month old, so I do most of the stuff with the three oldest, and my girlfriend takes care of the baby. We usually wake up around 6 AM and get ready for kindergarten. If we drop the kids off before 8 AM, they will get breakfast there. If not, we eat at home, which also means a lot of food on the floor and arguing about who has made the nicest sandwich. The two oldest have to dress themselves, and I help the third one with what she needs. Usually, someone has a meltdown. Every other day, that someone is me..

How do you refresh your children&#8217;s wardrobe for Spring? The best feeling is to remove big coats and warm one-pieces from the wardrobe. That also means getting ready for kindergarten is faster. And the kids also get to pick out their Spring shoes from Viking in whatever colors they like. In everyday life, we buy durable clothes that can be passed down. We don&#8217;t care much about colors, so all 4 children will wear both pink and blue, with and without lace.
During the transitional period, shell clothes are invaluable and can easily be taken off if the weather suddenly gets warmer during the day. That’s just how it is living in Norway &#8211; you never quite know what weather you&#8217;re going to get, so practical children&#8217;s clothing and shoes are essential.
What do you think is the most important thing when it comes to children&#8217;s shoes? That they’re stable and that the kids can put them on without me having to help them.

Can you tell us your favorite outdoor activities to do with your kids during Springtime? We have recently bought a cabin, and I’m looking forward to go a hike in our new neighborhood. In the summer I would like to try canoeing
Please share a memorable experience you had while exploring the outdoors with your kids? I went to Sognsvann for a hike with the two oldest. It wasn&#8217;t a very long hike but we had so much fun, and we all learned a lot about each other and nature. We did some barbecue and went for a swim. I&#8217;m not the most outdoorsy dad, but one of my goals is to do more outdoor activities in the future. Because I know it will make amazing memories for my kids.
